Lafayette Real EstateThere are many great places to live in West Lafayette, Indiana. One of the desired subdivisions people have come to love is Huntington Farms. Why do so many families choose to live there? There's probably too many reasons to name, but I'll do my best. 1. Location - It is located on the edge of West Lafayette near Purdue University, and all the great things that come with a college campus. It's also convenient to Klondike Elementary and Middle School, Menards, Meijer, Walmart, restaurants, Churches, and the new 231 that will connect you to almost anywhere in West Lafayette or Lafayette you'd need to be. 2. Diversity of Residents - Huntington Farms is home to families with children of all ages, different ethnic backgrounds, senior citizens, and more. You'll find friendliness throughout the neighborhood as you meet people on walks, fishing in the two large stocked ponds, neighborhood functions, and maybe even during the spring/summer garage sales. 3. Setting - Huntington Farms is the perfect place to unwind and relax at the end of your day. As mentioned above there are sidewalks throughout the subdivision, two large ponds, and being on the edge of West Lafayette you can enjoy some peace and quiet away from town. There's also a big field a Church owns on the State Road 26 side. You'll see people letting their dogs play there as well as softball and kickball games on occasion. 4. Resale Value - Being so close to Purdue University and in West Lafayette, this subdivision is great for resale. In 2016 homes for sale in this area were on the market for an average of 29 days! That's why it's considered a "desired subdivision". The average listing price price was $263,000 and the average sales price was $256,000. That means homeowners were getting an average of over 97% of their asking price! The average price per square foot was $106.77. Learn more about the Tippecanoe School Corporation.
