When it comes to finding homes near Purdue University, Huntington Farms is definitely one to consider. It's an established subdivision, but has also continued to grow with high quality new construction homes. There are a lot of reasons why this community is worth considering when buying real estate. As a Lafayette realtor for the past 7 years I have researched home values and market trends in almost all of the neighborhoods in Tippecanoe County. Continue reading below as I've highlighted some of Huntington Farms best qualities.
Location - This community is conveniently located on the edge of West Lafayette, but only a 5 minute drive to Purdue University. Along with being close to campus here are a few other places that are nearby; Klondike Elementary, Klondike Middle, Menards, Walmart, Payless, gas stations, restaurants, shopping, and there's a library right across the street from the Lindberg Road entrance. There are two entrances into the neighborhood. One is off of Lindberg as I just mentioned, and the other is off of State Road 26. State Road 26 goes all the way to Lafayette and interstate 65, but is also just a few miles from the new 231 that will take you to South Lafayette and Crawfordsville.
Community - Huntington Farms has a diversity of residents from younger families to senior citizens and homeowners with many different ethnicities. The friendliness throughout the subdivision keeps a safe environment and makes it easy to see why so many people choose this area to call home. There is a Homeowner's Association that ensures the neighborhood stays well kept, however that's not all the HOA does, they also plan community events throughout the year such as garage sales, and take care of the common grounds (two ponds, entrance signs, landscaping, snow removal on main roads, etc.).
Neighborhood Features - Huntington Farms features include sidewalks, street lights, two stocked ponds, convenient location near Klondike schools, West Lafayette Library, and Purdue University. Surrounding the subdivision are other established neighborhoods such as Lindberg Village, Green Meadows, Blackbird Farms, and Wake Robin.
